Rolling

The other day Chris came home from work for lunch. I put Coda on his giraffe on his belly while I quickly finished lunch. He was doing great, just hanging out. The all the sudden I looked over and he was on his back. Chris flipped him back over and cheered him on, trying to get him to roll again. But Coda just got sad, no more rolling.

Just two dudes hanging out

Coda loves to hang with hid daddy. Chris can't see how much Coda changes in his daddy's arms. I'm with Coda all day and I can tell how different he is when Chris holds him. Coda loves his daddy.

Coda is so Cute!

You know on despicable me when the little girl says, "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"? Well that's how I feel about Coda except, "He's so cute I'm gonna die!" I'm obsessed with my little boy.

One Month Old Already!

I can't believe how much he's changed! I didn't think he had, until I looked at the pictures... Can you believe it?!

Don't forget your wookie!

Our buddies invited us to a a pumpkin carving party. There were plenty of people and awesome pumpkins. I had looked up some ideas for ours and let Chris choose, should have known he'd choose the storm trooper.
And we got even nerdi-er on Halloween. Chris dressed as Han Solo, I was Princess Leia, and Coda was Chewbacca (he was the best part). Chris went in dressed up to work, Coda and I came in later (all dressed up) to say hi. It was really fun. Everyone was all taking our pictures. Then that night we went to the ward Trunk or Treat. Chris made all the little kids guess who we were to earn their candy.

Second two weeks of bliss

Mom King flew all the way from Hong Kong a couple days before my mom left. So we got to have double Grandma time. She stayed to help for the next two weeks. More great meals and sitting with my baby? Yes please!
Cameo, BJ, and the boys came to hang out for a weekend.
The boys were very excited to meet their cousin. Coda got lots and lots and lots of lovin.

Chris had to go back to work, but he comes home for lunch every day. Sometimes he even catches a snooze with Coda.
We went to church for the first time. It is way fun for me to have him through church. I just get hold and snuggle him for 3 hours.

First couple weeks at home

Bringing Coda home was so fun. I was very glad mom was there to help me though. I pretty much sat around for 2 weeks holding my baby boy. I wasn't really capable of doing anything else, neither did I want to.

Chris has fun being a Daddy too. There's a lot of snarling and grandpa-mouth biting when daddy holds Coda.
His faces crack me up. This is a classic Coda face.
My work sent me flowers. That was really fun. Coda also LOVES his swing.
Mom taught me how to give Coda a bath. It's scary when you haven't done it before. He didn't love the sponge bath.
Chris was always asking for pictures whenever we went out. Here's Coda's first doctors appointment. Yay!
After coming home from the doctor this is what I found under the carseat cover, what a cutie!
Jenise came for a visit. Coda sported his "cutest nephew" onesie she gave him. Jenise also brought me tons of my favorite icecream, white chocolate mousse from TCBY, SWEET!

Chris and Coda snuggled on the couch a lot. Chris got the first week off of work, it was great to see him be a daddy. Coda sleeps just like Chris, one arm up and out.

Julie and Dad came to visit and drive back up with Mom. I wish they could have stayed longer.
I'm constantly making Chris and Coda pose for pictures. They are both so dang cute its hard to resist!
We love our little boy. And I'm completely in love with being his mom. He is such a good baby; he spoils me.  i feel like he's very patient with me learning how to be a momma, seems like he's got being a baby pretty well dow. I love watching him change and learn, but at the same time don't want him to get any bigger. What a dilemma. I love my Coda boy.
