Chalk Drawing

Yesterday our house was too hot for any human being. So I opted to steal the neighbor kids chalk (that has been sitting in the grass getting sprinklered on for the past 2 weeks... so its not that bad to steal right?)
Finding Nemo
Belle
Woody
After drawing these three, my little buddies came over to join me. They wanted a horse, and a monster truck.

Salmon Trip and our cake topper

So if anyone has forgotten... we made our own cake toppers for our wedding. Chris made his grooms cake topper. It was me, under a bear, about to get eaten, and Chris on top of the bear, with a dagger. There were also a few puncture wounds around the bears shoulders.

So while driving into Salmon Idaho this weekend, we drove past a bear statue. (the bear is actually supposed to be fishing). Chris had a genius idea: to reenact his cake topper.
The bear was really tall, and very difficult to climb. So we tried not on top first... but thought we had to do it the right way...

So Chris climbed on top. But then he wanted me to photoshop the dagger in, since we didn't have one to use in the picture.

So I did. And it looks exactly like the cake topper. Only this time we're in color and the bear isn't.

Our window in the Summer

Our bedroom window is on the second floor and overlooks a little river with lots and lots of trees. The branches are just inches from our window. This morning there were two bright yellow birds jumping around. It was really fun to have right outside our window.

Ducks

I was walking to a meeting on campus and found this little family of ducks.  I wish I had got my phone out earlier to capture more of it, but here are the last couple ducklings struggling to get to their mom.

I was also looking through my YouTube videos and found these gems, I figured it'd fit nicely with the other ducks

Swinging Desserts (updated with Edited version)

For date night I took Sommer on a double date with our besties Kipp and Kathleen.  We went to the BYU-Idaho Ropes Course and did the big swing there.  Luckily I busted open the GoPro that Sommer got me and was able to snag this video!

We also had crockpot desserts, I dished myself up some blueberry cobbler and it was delicious with the vanilla ice cream, yum!

Big Springs - One of the coolest places ever

Big Springs, Idaho is where the south fork of the Henry's fork river comes straight out of the mountain. This picture looks like it might be the side of a really pretty, very clear lake. That is false! This is where an entire river is coming out of the bottom of a mountain. Not like a little river, like a big river. You'd think that much water emerging from the ground would at least make some serious bubbles right? Nope. Big springs just appears, like its no big deal.

Chris and Julie enjoyed chasing the seagulls. They'd all line up on one side of the bridge, then Chris would run across making them all fly over to the other side of the bridge, where Julie  was waiting for them.

Here's where mom found a spot you could stick your finger in, right where a good amount of water is hopping up out of the ground. I think Julie is trying to push me in...
Usually there are a lot of huge fish. But this time there wasn't. We did see a muskrat thing though.
It was a very perfect, very beautiful day.

Hurricane in Rexburg

There was a class 4 hurricane in Rexburg last night.

It was hard to sleep.

That is all

They Killed my hair

The front was supposed to be touching my collar bone. I might have been upset, but luckily we don't have any picture-activities coming up soon. I'm glad hair grows. I just wish it grew faster.

When I came home Chris was very sweet. He said, "You look beautiful. It's just not a repeat."
