Oh if we could have a dog... and they didn't cost so much

We decided that if all was perfect... we'd like to get this sweet looking dog! Its a smaller version of a husky called the Alaska Klee Kai. SOO CUTE!

New Editor?

I just found out there's a new Blog Editor from blogspot.  I really didnt like the old one...the one i just had to use to get all my cell pics on.  I mostly didnt like it because it was reeeally difficult to upload and arrange pictures.  So i found this new one (which could have been not so new, just new to me) by clicking on Settings and scrolling down and finding Select Post Editor and then clicking Updated Editor.  Easy enough.  Thats all.

i also got bluray of the new star trek off the net, w00t.  it's our favorite movie right now.  Sommer thinks Kirk is hilarious.  I like Scotty, he's funny.  It's just a good movie i think.  I guess i'm turning into a trekkie, thanks mom

the weeeek....end?

Ok, i got the cell pics finally worked out. yay! Sommer and I have a fun weekend planned or not planned but kinda. We really have no idea whats going on except we're getting in the car at 3pm friday and driving south to visit cam and j in utah. mom and abby will be there so its a big party minus dad. sorry dad. we're excited to see everyone though, im especially excited because (in ranking order of importance to my heart)
1-see mom
2-celebrate the girls birthdays
3-chill with midge
4-celebrate halloween with the boys
5-get my snowboard and new costume

yup. This week however has been tough. Lots of papers and tests with midterms back. I guess midterms are good because you can better gauge what you're going to have to do to get an A. I have B's in all my classes except Chem. I feel like one of us is going to die...chem or me. I wish i had known what i know now because i would have definately dropped chemistry before. drats. Aside from chem and the 5 papers i've had to write this week, things are good.

Sommer and i saved a kitten last night from the bitter cold. It was loud all night so i boxed it up and covered the box and then shut the door and put all our pillows in front of the door to "sound proof" it. I didn't hear it all night, lucky for the cat. We got rid of it this morning by giving it to a friend who's husband is a vet. We named it Diego (the kid from Dora the Explora) because he loved exploring and was obviously not a girl because ... i dont know, i just thought it was more cool to have a boy cat for a night than a girl cat?

Cell Pics

Forewarning: it is way hard to move pictures around here...so bear with me!

I decided to clean off the pictures from my cell phone over these last couple days, so i put them all here. There are a bunch of fun stories and let you in on the life Sommer and I have together! So lets start off with the two pictures of Sommer and I reading...

We decided to go and see "Where the Wild Things Are" so before the movie we went and read the book at the local library. It made the movie a lot more fun because they used the exact characters and their looks from the book. The coolest part was that through the very simple book and illustrations you could pick up hints and trends through multiple pages that gave insight to the attitudes and personalities of the individual monsters in the movie. We both loved the movie and had a blast together! We went with our neighbors Hillary and Brian, before we saw the movie we went to a local chinese place called New Fongs. The menus there had a pic of the Great Wall so i got to talk a little about running the steps there and how fun it was.

This one i took while in the Austin Building on campus (that's
where all the architecture nerds go). I saw this one guy TOWERING over this other real short guy. The one was so tall that my head came to his shoulder and the short one came up to my shoulder. They seemed to be good friends though...the situation made me giggle though.

This is a craft we saw somewhere, i dont remember where but
no matter where the point it makes is a true and everlasting principle of the gospel.

So the stuff made into a tower is a real good story. Sommer and i were eating in the newly renovated and updated Galley, now it's called the Crossroads and is huuuuge and real real nice. So we're eating there and Sommer bet that i couldnt stack those 3 things on top of eachother. High stakes...and i did it. One more testimony that i rock.

The scores here are from a little game called Mr. Ooh! on my touch. Sommer got the one that is currently in second place but when she got it, she was first. She held first for a looong time but this pic shows where i came and STOMPED her. Oh yea. But it did take me forever to accomplish that =\

This one with the sweet shades is from my chem class. We were looking at the different colors that come from lights and such. Waves, frequencies, blabla.

This is my beautiful work station at close in KFC. I am the unofficial official chief head dish cleanliness technician engineer.

This is a sweet Halloween costume for ellie.

I found Zoe in Rexburg...i didnt know what to do with him so i put him in the pound. Just kidding, it was our RS Pres's cat.

I took Sommer out for a nice drive one friday and we headed for Grand Targhee to see how their snow looks and such. Once we got there we were pleasantly surprised to find a 20ft flame at the base of Targhee. We guessed that they were burning old gas and putting new gas in (they had the gas tanker truck right there on the left of the pic)

I found the perfect place to shop for the midge!!!!

Elf Boy!!! We found him at WinCo and thought his ears were huuuuge!

Here is our former cat Figaro, aw so cute! We got rid of him after 1 day. Sommer said he was stinky and i didn't mind. Oh, so cute!

Here is another sweet shot of me at KFC furthering the Colonel's work.

The Brave Little Pinky! My pinky hurt so bad but she was asleep so i didnt move it, but it hurt bad!

My painting that i entered in the Boise Fair or Western Idaho Fair or whatever... i didnt get placed. boo.

Sommer and i (with some friends) made boats out of sticks, glue, and leaves. Sommer also used a flower. We raced them down our canal and followed them bridge by bridge (like Winnie the Pooh). Sommer's started off in last place and was there forever but her's ended up winning. Mine was a canoe, i spent the most time on mine. Mine fell in the water and capsized, but if it had stayed right side up i would have dominated. Everyone else's stick boats were like Tom Sawyer boats...ghetto!

Saw this at Hollywood, it made me laugh. Sommer wouldnt let me rent it, darn.

After a dentist appointment.

This was Julie in the game Zombies, she lost here. If you roll 1,2,3 you die. She rolled a 1. Dead Julie.

Another funny one at Hollywood.

My room mate made a big mistake trying to trim the back of my head.....

Sommer's window when i wrecked her car.

This is Mesa Falls from my phone in the winter. It was cold and we had just hiked 3 miles in deep snow so i was in a little bit of a rush (plus the sun was setting and we still had another 3 miles to hike, alone (well with Sommer))

The sign to Mesa Falls.

Bowling

So i took Sommer out bowling today after class. It was kind of a surprise. We had planned to go last night but i got called in to cover for some kid at work, so i had to bail on our FHE night with Leadawn and Daniel. We had planned to go bowling and stuff. So i took her to Teton Lanes here in Rexburg and we bowled 2 games.

The first game she won by 10. It was pretty depressing, oh well. The second game we played i had all strikes and spairs (except for two times) and Sommer had atleast 3 gutter balls. The tables had turned and the beginners luck was wearing off (of Sommer). We had a lot of fun so i figured i'd post the pics!

Solid GOLD

Sommer sealed her win...for the first game.

Sadly, and conveniently luckily for Sommer, we didn't get any pictures of the second game, which might in any other case than this prove that the second game didn't happen and that i didn't actually STOMP her...but i did........by a lot!

Matching Monday

Every Monday we have what is called- Matching Monday. So this Monday we double matched, so that when we were outside or inside we were celebrating Matching Monday
These are the hoodies we got for Easter down in Isla Mujeres. They are pretty sweet. And draw a fair amount of attention when we both wear them together.
Chris wanted me to put up these pictures of our pictures. We are slowly covering our blank walls. My cousin Heidi made this super cute fame for my bridal shower and I couldn't wait to fill it full of "happy memories" (thats what the wire on the side and little label say) I wanted to put lots of different things that Chris and I have done together. Dirtbiking with my family in the mountains, Hiking to the darby wind caves with some friends and climbing under a little waterfall, road trip to Utah to go sky diving, lost on a beach in Hawaii somewhere for our HoneyMoon, and the Sunrise that Chris proposed to me at on Isla Mujeres. Now we just have to find the right wall to put it on.

While we were lost on the beach, waiting for the bus to come back, we decided to take some fun pictures. So here we are trying to kiss from different picture frames. These are up in our hall, right across from our bedroom so we can see them right when we get up and going in the mornings, and remember-no matter how tired we are, how much work we have to do, how many homework assignments we forgot and have to hurry and do- that we are lovable and like to have fun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

For a birthday Present Mom & Dad King gave me a new table! But the tough choice was picking it out. It was SO hard! So while I was trying to figure things out, we didn't have a table. We hit our heads on the light... and our plant needed some sun, so we killed two birds with one stone here. We used our couches and cofee table to eat... Here is the table. I love it. It is counter height and has a cool top with little rivet things. The legs are bomb-dig thick and the chairs have a nice cushion on them. It was my favorite table from any place we looked (and we looked at a lot). It had all my favorite things. I like the top with the rivets, the legs are thick so the table doesn't wobble when you push it sideways, I love the color of the wood, its square... I could probably keep going. But pretty much I love it. (doiley hand made by Granny)
This is the table with the leaf folded in. We'll probably keep it small unless we have a bunch of people over. Jill gave me that center peice! So while we were at the furniture store to pick up a diferent table than this one... I wanted to look at this one first. I had seen it before, and LOVED it, but the other table was a lot less expensive. Chris let me stand looking at the tables for a really long time. Even the salesman gave up on me... standing in the middle of all the tables holding my hands, looking around helplessly. He called out to see if I needed any help a few times, and laughed really hard when I said I was doing okay. I don't think I sounded convincing.

Chris knew that this one was my favorite. He walked over while I was standing in pain, looked over and said "I'm convinced". I was so excited I actually almost cried. We took it home and our neighbor helped Chris carry it up (I was afraid I'd drop it).

This is the table with the leaf folded out. Chris unfolded it just so we could take pictures! It still fits just fine folded out, but it is a little tight. But it will be perfect for games. We were excited to get one with a leaf so that it will last us a really long time. THANK YOU MOM & DAD!
This my birthday present from Jenise. I was so excited when I got it in the mail! Its a really fun shirt. The white/blue band wraps around and ties in the back. Its really fun. I need to find a different tank top to wear under it... the black isn't the best. But the shirt is WAY cute!

First Snow!!!!

Last night it was very cold in our home; so cold that we went to sleep with socks on. We woke up today and got ready for school and as we opened our door to leave we were happily surprised with a winter wonderland! yay! Now the only problem is figuring out a creative way to my snowboard.

So this last weekend we spent in Meridian with the Rices. We had a fun conference weekend. Aside from the obvious edification that took place we had fun with Steven and Julie because we brought our xbox and Steven brought his and we all played Halo ODST together. It was a lot of fun.

On our drive back we saw snow in Burley and around there but by the time we made it to Pocatello the snow was gone. I guess the storm made its way over to us throughout the night. Lucky us! Snow snow snow!

Snow?

Winter time is almost here! Yipee!

It's cooling down here in Rexburg, finally. We are finding frost on the car in the mornings and getting out of the house at 7:45 am with the temp at freezing. The mountains already have a little snow on them as we look at the Tetons and surrounding mountains.

As of right now we are unsure about the plans for the winter time, mostly because of the internship that Sommer has to complete before she graduates. After this semester she is done with classes and all that remains before she graduates is that internship, so we want to take care of it. I am just hoping we can find one so we can stay in Rexburg and have her work over the net with whatever company.

Life is pretty good. We got an xbox 360 and bought the new Halo game for it, I am staying on top of the homework but it's fun. When we first got it this last weekend Sommer played all Saturday with me. We had both taken care of all our homework and decided to have a little fun dominating aliens in Halo 3: ODST. Oh, ya.

I'll put some pictures up of our setup.

This weekend we are heading out to Boise for a birthday dinner her family is throwing her. We're hoping to be bale to relax a little and watch conference too.

All done, bye

Memories from the Honeyoon

Chris-
Well, I was talking to the girls last night on a super official top secret conference call and I started to tell them about some of the fun stuff Sommer and I did while we were out in Hawaii. I figure I'll go into that stuff and get some pictures out there, even though my facebook has the pictures on there too...
Here are some pictures of the view from our room in the Hyatt Regency. Dad's platinum awesomeness got us upgraded to the 36 of 39 floors with an awesome view!

We went to the PCC (Polynesian Cultural Center) and got some sweet tribal tats too!

Nothin better than kickin back in a beach chair sippin a fruit smoothy with a beautiful girl!

We took a bus trying to get to Hanama Bay but got lost. By get lost i mean we got off at the wrong stop and were stranded, so we decided to explore. We ended up finding this cool secluded beach which was perfect for boogyboarding. There were a bunch of kids out in the water despite the 2 warning signs of dangerous water. We had fun watching them though!

On our way back to the road after checking out that beach we stopped to wash the sand out of our feet. I accidentally turned the shower on instead of the foot washing faucet, so i got soaked.

We went to the temple while we were at the PCC and talked with the sister missionaries about why the temple was closed. There is a bunch of construction going on inside and outside of the temple. It was still a lot of fun walking around on temple grounds.

Here we are at the PCC, Sommer thinks i'm a dork for putting this pic up

One day as we walked along the beach we heard these wierd hooping sounds and decided to investigate it. We ended up at the Waikiki Zoo and decided to go inside and check it all out. Sommer had been wanting to see flamingos in real life for a loooong time, so she was excited to see them finally!

These are just a few of the many fun memories we made out in Hawaii. We also went sky diving and snorkeling and zipping around in a 2 person, 3 wheeled scooter powered by 1/2 a leaf blower engine. We had an incredible time and made some unforgettable memories together out in Hawaii during our honeymoon.
