Flowers

So we picked up Cameo from this Florist Conference in Salt Lake where she was learning from the big dogs what the newest and greatest is. She let us have a sweet bouquet and then some extra flowers. This is not the front shot of her bouquet, so it doesn't look as cool as it should... but my vase isn't tall enough so I had to turn it to let some of it drape over the side. I tried to make the stray flowers into a cool thing... obviously I do not have the flower talent like Cameo.

Golf

Sommer is an incredible girl.  All around.  She is so awesome that Layton Construction gave her 18 holes free to the Park City Resort Golf Course (normally 60 some dollars).  So when mom and dad brought were in Minnesota getting a lot of stuff out of the house I asked them to bring my old golf clubs so that Sommer and I could go play.  I used to play golf and was even on the golf team in middle school.

So we went golfing this last Friday and we figured since the weather was a little stinky that there wouldnt be anyone around.  It was just windy, but oh well.  We had a tee time for 4:06pm and came ready in our golf clothes and golf shoes (flip flops).  We had a lot of fun!  The only stinky thing was we had a reeeeeal slooooooow group ahead of us so we would have to wait a long time for these people to finish.  The funny thing about these people is each of them had 1000$ set of clubs and the whole get up of clothing and shoes.  They "looked pro" but were painfully and sadly not close.  They made us feel real good though.

Here are a couple fun videos that we took of our mishaps in golf.  Unfortunately we didnt get any videos of when we rocked it.  We honestly did have a couple real good hits that made us feel all Happy Gilmore.  I was going to say Tiger Woods but figured I'd rather not associate ourselves too much with him, plus Happy Gilmore was a funny movie.

Here I screw up in front of the camera, normally I tee'd off real well.

Sommer sunk this one into the trees.

This one is my favorite!

I golfed a 53 on 9 holes and Sommer was golfed a 78.
We also took a bunch of fun pics but I'll leave that to Sommer to post about.

We wouldn't have gone golfing... maybe ever. But since it was free we though we might as well. It actually turned out to be really fun. If golfing was free all the time I might pick it up.
As you can see I have a sweet golfing glove. There were some nice people and she gave me a worn out glove. I looked almost pro if you didn't pay attention to my flip flops and shorts...

So one wailing blow to the golf ball went bad... it came back and hit me right in the shin. You can't see it very well... but I had a golf ball inprint on my shin.
One of these geese almost lost its life when Chris sent a golf ball 100 mph right by it's head.
Here's me wailing it.
Here's Chris wailing it... yeah I know.
This was after I hit my golf ball into a sand trap. It didn't turn out good, as you probably know by the video.
Chris hit this ball 170 yards in one hit. It was amazing. You can't even see where he hit it from. If you click on the picture and look for the tiny orange shirt, that is the tee-off that Chris hit it from.

My best hit wasn't as good as Chris' but it was still pretty sweet. 130 yards. I actually beat Chris on this hole.

I probably beat him on this hole because he hit his ball into a lake... Was pretty funny watching him trying to fish it out. He did get it eventually. We had a lot of fun.

1st year Anniversary!

We celebrated out 1st year anniversary this weekend. 1 whole year of being married!
First we went to our favorite restaurant, OLIVE GARDEN! Where we always order the same things.Lasagna Fritta & Steak Gorgonzola. Yum Yum.

Chris took me to get TCBY after, because I've been wanting White Chocolate Mousse ever since we moved to Utah.
We drove down to Salt Lake and went to reminisce in memories from 1 year ago.
We took lots of pictures next to these stairs. A nice Temple Grounds guy came over to help us recreate.
Chris then took me for a very nice surprise!
I always wanted to go on a horse carriage ride ever since I saw one when I was little. Dad King didn't know that when he set up this ride to carry us away, but it was perfect for our wedding day. 1 year latter Chris took me on another carriage ride. This time the horse wore a hat though. It was really fun.
This is the view of the temple from our carriage ride.
Some of our favorite pictures were taken at the reflection pool in front of the Salt Lake Temple.

We really wanted to get a sweet picture of the Salt Lake Temple. We looked around a lot and decided on this one. Looks great!
