What a week!

This week has been full of fun!  Fun in the snow in Park City all the way up to Rexburg Idaho.  Wednesday we both worked.  Sommer got off at 5 and met Dad and Cameo at our home in Park City and I worked at night.  It was fun because the three of them came in to visit me at Best Buy.  I got to run them through the "shpeel" and tried to sell dad on the 3d television.  I think it was his fear of what mom would say that destroyed my sale, darn.  After work we met up at a japanese sushi place and had some food.  It was fun because the japanese sushi people were trying to close up shop and we were chillin having fun talking.

Thursday morning we had a nice meal of mancakes and bacon, mmm.  They get better each time, which isn't too hard since the first couple times i made them it was encrusted batter.  You can tell I am still improving the technique with the out casted burnt mancake....

We all got ready and headed for Salt Lake and some fun shopping.  Dad and the girls were real excited because they had fun things in mind to get. The girl were dreaming of cute clothes and dad dreamt of his iPad.  I was along for the ride.  It was a fun drive down the mountain (i drove) in dad's rental Inifinty.  We hit up a lot of fun stores that the girls enjoyed and spent some time getting dad's iPad.  Here the girls are showing off some of their cute clothes.  This ensemble is from Forever 21, in case you were wondering....  or want to know.

Before all this we stopped at a fun flower shop that Cameo and Sommer and even Dad had fun in.  I guess there is this huge Chocolate Newfoundland dog in the store.  The owner of the store is also the owner of the dog.  The shop is "super cute", as Cameo put it, and has lots of fun flower ideas.  They all had fun.  Dad was just dorkin around making friends with the owner and other employee.  I stayed in the car and wasn't feeling too good.  Yup.

Anyway...

Here's a pic of another stop the girls made on our shoptastic day.

Right, well the whole reason this trip took place was not for shopping (although they had fun) it was for Sommer!  She graduated this weekend.  Cameo left Friday and we (dad, sommer and i) headed up to Rexburg for the graduation.  We met Bonnie, Mike and Julie in Rexburg on our way to the first ceremony.  Here are some fun pics.  Look at that girl!  First King (and Rice) to graduate!  This was after she was presented with the not-deploma.  They gave her the cover for her deploma and are mailing the actual thing later.  That night we went out to eat, the whole bunch of us...or entourage of Sommer, and we went to Garcias.  Yum yum yum.  The chips and salsa are sooo goood.

Check us out.  I really like my coat...

The Rices!  Minus Julie.... shunned.

This is a fun pic for multiple reasons.  Here Sommer is doing her "cute wave".  It is cute.  She gets her arm all close to her body and does a small wave, so thats fun.  Also, check out the girl with the yellow paper in her hand.  Tongue out n all.  She was also the only one to graduate in chemistry.  The only one.  Sorry, moving on.

Here dad got a candid picture of Sommer as she was heading out to walk in front of the huge crowd that awaited her.  And the other graduates i guess.

So I'm a stinker, i guess.  Julie and I posin for dad and his need to document everything at special events.

We took a fun road trip Saturday and went all over eastern Idaho in attempts to find fun sights.  We drove up past Island Park and wanted to check out Big Springs.  We rode in the Rice's van and wanted badly to go see the "river that comes out of a mountain."  Sommer has been wanting to see it for a long time and we finally had a good shot at it.  We got all the way up there and found an unplowed road.  Vans dont do too good in those conditions.  Mike was willing to give it a try, which got me real excited for an actual adventure!  We decided a safer, less "stuck in the snow" approach and left.  Our next shot at a cool natural sight to see was Mesa Falls so we headed out for there.  Same thing, an unplowed road, bummer.  So we found the next best thing from Idaho....Potatoes!  Here is a sifter (i think its called that, no idea) and its loading a semi-truck.  Here is another pic of the warm river.  We saw it on our way to Mesa Falls.

That night we went on a real nice walk around the Idaho Falls temple and the falls.  We never figured out how the falls actually produce electricity since it appears that the water just...falls over the damn into the river.  No apparent turbines or anything but I guess the falls in Idaho Falls produces 50% of the cities power, what gives!
Dad took the pic, thanks dad.  I remember you.

You can see what I was talking about a little near the top of this pic (below).

The End.
