So, I was slightly proud of my little coupon that Cameo requested. Not like I can really take credit... since the only reason it looks good is because of the flowers that Cameo made... but I think I could be a pro coupon maker.

Labor Day Cabin Trip
For Labor Day weekend we took the annual Rice trip up to the Cabin. Of course we went dirtbiking/4-wheeling. We usually get pretty dirty... but we're still happy shown here by Chris.
See that tiny lookout on the top of the rocky crag on the top of that mountain? That's where we are riding to.
This is a panoramic shot from the top of the lookout. Sweet huh?
The view was beautiful from the trail too. Here's Chris doing a "I dominate" pose.
We always take a trip to Abbot campground and take a look at the river. This year there were tons of kokanee fish. I wanted to catch one...
We also always go to Baumgartner campground where we can play in the hotsprings pool. They painted it this year... looks so much cleaner.
Weston was a hoot in the pool. Chirs was teaching him how to splash with his foot. Here's Chris splashing Weston.
And Weston about to splash back.
Calee and Weston sitting for a picture at the same time? Amazing and cute.
I'm pretty sure this is Weston looking at Chris after getting splashed.
Stoney brought up his orange wagon of awesomeness. We all took turns riding it down the drive.
Mom and Dad are matchy-matchy
I think those two are going to become serious dirtloving bikers.
Stoney and Steven jumped off this rock after we all got off.
It was a very fun trip. I wish we got to do it more than once a year. And in Calee's words, "isn't it fabulous?!"

Mini-Vacay
So this last weekend we went with our buddies Kayla & Jeff camping out by Lava Hotsprings. We didn't get to leave until after work friday, so we only had one good chance to find a camping spot before we lost the light. We had googled some potential spots and decided to go for the one that looked like it was most in the forest. Well we found out that google maps actually has some pretty knarly roads... We decided to see how it went and slightly ignored this sign:
We were really worried about our buddies following us up the (should be jeeps only) road. Maybe our sense of adventure exceeds our common sense sometimes. But we made it to the top of the trail and decided to make camp before it got too dark. It was a beautiful campsite. And don't the civic and yaris look sweet? Yeah... they just did that.
We could see the stars and tons of shooting stars like crazy from where we were. It was an awesome spot. Maybe a little lumpy for no air mattress though...
Saturday we headed out to Lava Hot springs. We rented tubes for a bit and floated the little stretch of river a couple of times. We found out it had some pretty intense parts. Everyone got at least a little injured except for me (Sommer). Somehow I came out unscathed.
And can we talk about this waterfall? It was pretty intense. I couldn't believe we were going down it.
Jeff and took the plunge first. Kayla's feet flip up so fast we thought for sure she toppled over. To our surprise, we found out that somehow she road out of that.
Then we headed out for the water park. It was pretty dang awesome. The rock wall was def. a favorite. Along with the water slides that can get you up to 38 mph or something. Chris and I also jumped off a high platform (you have to sign a waver). And we played a little water basketball. It was pretty dang awesome.
We raced down the two fast slides. If you look and listen close you can see/hear me on the right.
Here is Chris cooking us up some breakfast. That pancake actually turned out a lot better than it looks right now.
We went for a mountain stroll before dinner saturday night. It was beautiful. Then we are burgers while watching a lightning storm pass us by. What a wonderful weekend.
