For the Fourth of July the Hansons took us boating. Jolene is the primary president in the ward, and we teach primary. Our buddies Kip and Kathleen came too. We spent the entire day on the lake, lunch and all. We wake boarded, air-chaired, and surfed. We also went to the Wyoming side of the lake, went ashore and went to a firework shop. Dwayne is serious about his fireworks, he got two big boxes. We got to light them off that night. I ended up getting pretty dang burnt (even though I put on lots of sun screen). So by the end of the day I looked like a robber, with a hoodie, hat and sunglasses. It was a perfect fourth. The Hansons were super nice for taking us.

Chris took me horseback riding
Today, Chris took me horseback riding. I've been looking forward to it for months (since we bought our tickets through the school.) Julie came too, and it was so much fun.
Chris was put on his horse first, he was the tallest horse. His name was Tex. I think the two got along okay.We rode about one hour up to the top of a little mountain with a nice view. Some of the stuff we went up was pretty steep, rocky, and tree-fall-downy. It was awesome.
We took a break up on top to take a gander at the view. Chris' horse got loose and wandered over to a girl eating some carrots. He tried to steal them from her.
He looks like a regular cowboy.
It was a blast. I think Chris enjoyed it more than he lets on... but I sure enjoyed it. He's so wonderful for taking me.
