We were really worried about our buddies following us up the (should be jeeps only) road. Maybe our sense of adventure exceeds our common sense sometimes. But we made it to the top of the trail and decided to make camp before it got too dark. It was a beautiful campsite. And don't the civic and yaris look sweet? Yeah... they just did that.
We could see the stars and tons of shooting stars like crazy from where we were. It was an awesome spot. Maybe a little lumpy for no air mattress though...
Saturday we headed out to Lava Hot springs. We rented tubes for a bit and floated the little stretch of river a couple of times. We found out it had some pretty intense parts. Everyone got at least a little injured except for me (Sommer). Somehow I came out unscathed.
And can we talk about this waterfall? It was pretty intense. I couldn't believe we were going down it.
Jeff and took the plunge first. Kayla's feet flip up so fast we thought for sure she toppled over. To our surprise, we found out that somehow she road out of that.
Then we headed out for the water park. It was pretty dang awesome. The rock wall was def. a favorite. Along with the water slides that can get you up to 38 mph or something. Chris and I also jumped off a high platform (you have to sign a waver). And we played a little water basketball. It was pretty dang awesome.
We raced down the two fast slides. If you look and listen close you can see/hear me on the right.
Here is Chris cooking us up some breakfast. That pancake actually turned out a lot better than it looks right now.
We went for a mountain stroll before dinner saturday night. It was beautiful. Then we are burgers while watching a lightning storm pass us by. What a wonderful weekend.
