Model Show

My wonderful husband took me on a surprise shopping spree yesterday. We woke up early and made breakfast together, then went to the temple. He had made an entire itinerary so we would be able to make it everywhere we wanted to go. After the temple, our first stop was Tai Pan (just to look around, Chris' didn't even show that he was in pain), and the day went on from there. We went to 2 different malls and spent almost the entire day shopping. That night our friend Cameron met us for dinner and a movie (Sherlock Holmes). It was way good.

This morning we decided to do a fashion show with all our new stuff. Even Chris got into it! I really like this picture. Its like the one I could show the ladies at work and they'd all be jealous cause my husband is so goodlookin!

Brr! This is a sweet Burton Coat. Chris looks REALLY good in it too.

Chris is very picky about his snowboard gear. When he gets gear, he expects it to last, and he doesn't plan on replacing it soon, so its gotta be just right. We've been looking for a backpack for him for a while. But the search is over, the perfect backpack has made Chris very happy.

Well, we had to have matching jackets... so I got a burton hoody. I think its pretty dang cute. Also show here are my new pair of jeans (badly needed).

The front of this shirt is cute... but I got it for the back, who wouldn't! It was $6!

This shirt was also on clearance... $8. I think it looks cuter in real life.

First off.... Chris really had me getting into the whole modeling thing... Secondly my confession on this shirt was I got it to match my favorite shirt of Chris'.  Plus Chris liked it. And I was born in 1987.

I've never owned a purple shirt. I thought it was about time. And I lost my balance in this picture. (shown here also are the slippers that Jenise gave me for Christmas... Definitely getting their fair share of love)

I had a lot of fun. It was a great surprise. I love Chris very much. Most of the fun was walking around holding hands with him, and showing him everything I tried on. I like to show my excitement when I realize that I get to be with him forever by skipping and dancing around him (while he gets all embarrassed). Most of the time everyone around gets a pretty good kick out of it. I am so lucky.

Park City Fun

Tonight Chris and I went to a super pipe competition in Park City. Last week we went and watched the ski aerials. Its really fun since its all the Olympians and top rated people from all over the world. We just drive on over and almost get hit by famous snowboarders as they fly right in front of us.

SUPRISE!

Chris came and surprised me at work today. I do not have cell phone reception so I don't really get to talk to him all day. He drove up the mountain today and waited by the security gate to catch me on my way out. Thanks to Abby I didn't miss him.
He took a few pictures of the Montage (the project I'm on) We are in the bottommost floor (4 floors in the ground) in a rather damp... and hot office. But WAY better than jobsite trailers! I've been getting more responsibilities the longer I've been there. My first week I was charged with Archiving Digitally all of the submittals (it would take a month to do it all). But it was rather repetitive doing that all day.

The next week I got put in charge of all the bus problems. All I was given was the main bus drivers name and number and I was the new person in charge of 700 workers getting to and from work, safely and without getting into fist fights. Its amazing how many problems pop up from a seemingly simple task. But it was nice to have something to give me a break from submittals every once in a while.

This week I was assigned to take the Load off of one of the Project Engineers, doing all of his RFI's (requests for information). That kind of turned into not only his RFI person... but the new RFI guroo. I take RFI's from our Subcontractors, figure out what they are asking (through their commonly bad hand writing and grammar), submit them to the architects, get an answer back after lots of convincing, write a RFI RESPONSE and send that to the entire jobsite. Then I do a bunch of fancy stuff in the computer and then go try to find the drawing to mark the RFI in... a lengthy process for only one RFI. (I'm supposed to get 50 alone tomorrow) So I am now finding it hard to find time to work on my Submittal archive.

Anyways its been really fun, and a lot of work. But I'm started to get some things down at least, and be a little be more reliable and get some of the peoples names down.

Heeeeey Park City!

We've been living in Park City now for 2 weeks and we are liking it.  The only problem is we are less than 30 minutes away from world class skiing and we haven't had a good snow the entire time we've been here!  Bummer.  Sommer is working hard all the week long and gets Saturdays and Sundays off.  I'm still looking for a job and trying everywhere.  I have an interview/meeting with some door to door "not sales" company.  It seems alright but its a job that I'd get paid for my efforts instead of the minimum.  The deal with the job is...I'd be working for a company who was hired by the gas/power companies here in the area to let everyone know about the new "rebate" offered by these companies if each house is up to date with their insulation.  For every appointment i get set for our tech guy to come over (its all free) and check their attic i get paid $10+a little extra. The meeting is tomorrow so we'll see if its shifty or not.  Either way, i'm getting a little desperate now with 2 weeks of no work (not counting the holidays).

Sad news - my xbox broke.  An error message popped up instead of the machine starting up and says "System Error E74".  After a little digging i found out that E74 is a fatal error which means my xbox is dead and microsoft "might" cover it.  I call tomorrow to see what my options are.  Bummer!

Sommer is painting a chair right now and Im all done posting.  Pictures coming soon....maybe
